Industrial Suppliers Forum envisions a platform for private and public dialogue, exchange of experience and common, industry specific constrains as well as a matchmaking component. The entire day is dedicated to Moldovan SMEs development and their linkages with foreign investors which perform industrial and engineering activities in the Republic of Moldova and international participants.
Engineering Forum focuses on talent development to meet the growing demand for qualified engineers. Complementing the efforts of the local stakeholders, it is a contribution to shift country’s attention to engineering and R&D activities.
The main subject of the conference part is automotive engineering to be promoted among youth, as an emerging sector in Moldova and globally, opening large career opportunities.
The organizers and partners of the event aim to convey the message that engineering and technical education, as well as improving business infrastructure for engineering and R&D related companies are high priorities for Moldova.
Autonomous Driving Competition
Organized by the Engineering Club Micro Lab (www.microlab.club), this component is looking to draw the attention of young talents, potential investors and local companies to applied, industrial grade, embedded programming. Starting with February 2019, Micro Lab consolidated six teams of engineers, students and young enthusiasts that built, for two months, six electric vehicles (EV), capable to perform tasks applying the „Autonomous Driving (ADAS)” principles. At the competition, participants will be awarded for successful execution of the proposed tasks. Most successful participants will be involved in a further research project on Autonomous Driving and EV systems for a real size prototype.
Engineering Career FairAt the Engineering Career Fair, national and international companies have the opportunity to promote their vacancies and job offers for graduates and professionals. The initiative to organize such a specialized event starts in 2017 as part of Moldova Automotive Days, hosted by the Technical University of Moldova. Organizers’ target is to highlight local industry players and promote local engineering capabilities.
Engineering Career Fair is organized in the period when students in the last year of study are looking for employment opportunities and it comes to complement the efforts of the vocational guidance campaign for high school graduates in choosing a professional career.
As part of the Engineering Career Fair, there will be organized guided tours at the FabLab and Microlab, at Center of Excellence ZIPhouse and Draexlmaier DMS Office (according to agenda).
